Day 1: New Jalpaiguri / Bagdogra Airport – Darjeeling (by road 90 kms)Reception at NJP Railway Station/Bagdogra airport and transfer to Darjeeling via NH 55 which is appx.90 kms, at an height of 6500ft and takes around 3 hours to reach, the road passes through the Mahananda wild life Sanctuary and Tea Gardens, Take a Short break at Kurseong, one of the sub-division of Dist.Darjeeling, to have a cup of famous Darjeeling Tea, then again start for Darjeeling, check in at the hotel. After refreshed we recommend a relaxed evening with short walk around The Mall to enjoy the Hill life of Darjeeling. Overnight halt at Darjeeling.
Day 2: DarjeelingAfter breakfast we will take you for unforgettable journey of Toy Train/Joy ride from Darjeeling Railway Station till Ghoom Railway Station and back (appx. time taken is 1.5 hrs), Ghoom is one of the highest Rly station in India. The train runs on steam locomotive. It makes a round to the picturesque Batasia Loop (War Memorial) and halt there for around15 minutes. Spend some time taking photographs of Mt.Kunchenjungha. The train now takes you to Ghoom Station, after some time you will be taken back to Darjeeling. After lunch you will be visiting the Tourist spots like - Darjeeling Zoo, Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Tenzing Rock, Tibetan Refugee Center, Bhutia Busty and Tea Garden. Free evening at you own disposal. Overnight halt at Darjeeling.
Day 3: Darjeeling – Gangtok (by road 120 km)Today early in the morning around 4 am you will visit Tiger Hill (Sunrise Point), Batasia Loop and Ghoom Monastery, back at the hotel and after breakfast drive to Gangtok, which is appx.120kms located at an altitude of 5500ft and takes around 3hrs to reach from Darjeeling. The capital of Sikkim, Gangtok means “Hill top”, from here you will have the endless view of hills that fades into the horizon and towards the north – west you will be able to see the most beautiful snow covered Mount Khangchendzonga. Check in at the hotel; free evening for you. Overnight halt at Gangtok.
Day 4: GangtokToday after breakfast we will take you for full day Gangtok City tour, where you will be visiting the places like Government Institute of Cottage Industry, Orchid House, Sikkim Research Institute of Tibetology, Dodurl Chorten, Rumtek Monastery, Botanical Garden and Tashi View Point. Back at the hotel and free evening. Overnight halt at Gangtok.
Day 5: Gangtok – Lachung (by road 124 kms)After breakfast, start your journey for Lachung, which is appx. 124 kms at a height of 8600 ft and takes around 6 hrs to reach. As the journey proceeds towards Lachung from Gangtok on the way you have a glimpse of some fascinating view of the Snow peaks and small villages flanked by fields and valleys, On your way to Lachung you will be visiting Chungthang – the confluence of river Lachen Chu and river Lachung chu, you will be able to see even Vimnala waterfalls, Lunch will be provided on the way. After a long and tarrying journey, check in at the hotel/Log hut. Free evening for you. Overnight halt at Lachung.
Day 6: LachungToday after breakfast you will be visiting Yumthang Valley, which is situated at an altitude of 12000ft and appx.24 kms away from Lachung. The reason is fully covered with Rhododendron flowers and variety of wild Orchids, which are in different colors (Seasonal flowers), and during winter season the whole region is covered under the blanket of Snow. Spend some time at Yumthang valley and capture the unforgettable memories that you will be spending there. Back at the hotel/Log hut for late lunch and after lunch you can visit the nearby village and spend some time with the local people, you can also visit the local monastery at Lachung. Overnight halt at Lachung.
Day 7: Lachung - Gangtok : After breakfast check out from the hotel/Log hut and proceed towards Gangtok, You will be reaching Gangtok in the late afternoon. Check in at the hotel, free evening Overnight halt at Gangtok.
Day 8: Gangtok - New Jalpaiguri / Bagdogra Airport (by road 100 kms)Check out from the hotel after breakfast and proceed towards NJP Railway Station/Bagdogra Airport as per your train/flight schedule, which is appx.100 kms away from Darjeeling and takes around 3.5hrs drive. On reaching NJP/IXB your tour will be concluded.
